G-1000 Propane. Wrist Pins

We have a local G-1000 Propane in the shop. It had a small knock. We tore it down and the wrist pin bushing on #3 has about 0.040 clearance. No problem, we order a new bushing and it does not fit. That engine has the same rods in it as a diesel would have! How common is that?

With a MM anything is possible. I Worked on a gasoline M5 once that had LP heads and diesel blocks. The third set of headgaskets held. Or at least I never heard anythng from the owner.

Propanes can have diesel pistons and rods installed no problem. It is a common switch. A lot of times you can use a G900 diesel rod and get by.
