GB/GTB differences

I have a 1955 GB and I know it superceded the GTB. Can anyone tell me the differences? They appear to be much the same.

The easiest way to tell difference is front axle. GTB has straight and GB has arched. GTB had clamshell fenders and GB had the full wheatland. Early GTB had outboard brakes similar to UDLX.

Another thing that is different besides the obvious fenders and front axle is that in the GBs they beefed up the rear end some by adding that wear bar rubbing against the ring gear and the adjusting screws stick out on the left side of the housing ahead of the brake I beleive. If you compare, there is a little longer or different casting in the area of the clutch, you will notice more empty bolt holes etc. than what is on the old GTB. Anyway, they look different there.
