On the right side where the lift controls are of my 445 there is a spring attached to the outside lever?? Anyone know where that attaches to as it is just hanging off the bottom of lever at present?? Was that way when I bought it and and am in the process of restoring it? Thnks for any info

I think those were on the early style lifts. I have a 445 parts tractor here with that style lift and one with the later style. I will have to look at it and see if I can get a picture for you.

On the early units, there was a piece of about 1/4x1" bar about 5" long that was between the spring and what looks a washer with a tab on it that mounted on the end of the shaft that the upper lift arm mounts on. When the lift arms come up, the tab, bar & spring pulled rearward on the bottom of the outside handle to make it go back to neutral.

I am wondering if you are looking at the centering spring for the lift handle. A picture of what you are describing would help.
