Our G-1355 flexing it's muscles.

This is our 1974 G-1355, one of the last serial numbers made, pulling our 16 row planter a couple of years ago. It had no problem pulling this heavy 40' machine unless you got to close to a pothole & had to turn. Then you might get it trouble. Notice we used no markers because it even had autosteer added. We retired it 2 years ago with a Challanger MT-645 with MFWD. A little better in mud and a lot quieter in the cab.

Man those are my favorite tractors, what kind of auto steer you have in it, do you still have it or did you mean you traded it for the challenger, did you ever have any problems with it, espicially the motor thanks for posting I love g1355 pictures they are just a mean looking tractor.

We used the Easy-Steer add on type on several tractors now. They can easily be taken out and put on another tractor. They drive the steering wheel with an external motor. We still have the old gal, can't get rid of any MMs so we gave it an auger job for harvest running 71 ft filling the wet corn holding bin. We picked up this tractor about 1990 I think. It was almost mint then & the only problem we had was the head popped off a valve but as luck would have it, the head stuck in the hole in the center of the piston and didn't hurt much so we put new valves in that head and it has run great ever since. Always is noisy in the cab though, some buzzing from hydraulics and gears always are a little loud in some gears but she's pretty tough.

So you like the yellow tractors too? We have over 30 MM's, but our last 3 tractors have been Challengers a couple 665-B's and this year a 685-D. The Challengers cost a "little" more than a MM.
