That is a nice straight old G1000. They sure liked to leak oil didn't they. Last time I saw my Dad's old G900(it resides about 12 miles down the road now), it was covered in oil from front to back.

Nice to see it still out working, I was just wondering, it appears to have the large hydraulic closed center pump on it. My vista that i posted before yours has the small pump and so does another one that we have. They are both 1968 models, the one is the last serial# produced in 68. I always thought that the Vista replaced the G-1000 row crop models that ended in 68. But they must have overlapped some, but why the hydraulic difference unless someone changed it over, that is a lot of work though. Maybe it was optional that year. I have a very late 68 G-900 with the closed center too. Does anyone have a good answer about why the differences?

I think the vistas are different than the plain ones, not sure though someone who knows more than I do will chime in, good looking tractor by the way it's cool to see the old MMs out working, one thing I always wondered if agco will ever make another one like they did the American just like a special edition or how much money it'd take to start another minneapolis moline company, sure more than I will ever see.

This a open center hyd system ,just a lot of grime piled up on everything , my 900 has the same system as the 1000.

I"ve seen a couple of MMs that werelighter "lemon yellow" color like yours and wondered about them.

Especially one that I saw - sure didn"t strike me as ever having been repainted... Made me wonder if there could have been some factory paint batches that faded funny or were just off from the start...
