hey guy s
being a JD guy don know about MM I have a ZAN to do ser.#oo85ooooo8 can you tell what year it is ? how common? what is the HP? avail. of parts?

1950 model: 008 = ZAN; 50 = 1950, 49 = 1949 etc for 1949 & 1950 only; last 5 digits = sequence number. They dropped the year late in 1950 and went to continuous s/n across years beginning at 00800235.

Yours is #8 produced in 1950. 150 were produced in 1949 - the first year - so yours is #158 of a total of 770 made from 1949-1953.

ZAN with single front were lowest production configuration - about 22,000 total ZAU, ZAS, ZAN, ZAE made. Definitely a keeper.

Its not too tough to find ZA parts. I should have some ZA engine parts. I live in Texas.
