In my infinite genius... I managed to destroy my steering motor on my 670 super. Does anyone have one they could sell me? By the way, do not use a hammer to assist removal of the steering wheel. Turns out the book is right...you can break parts if you get too aggressive. Another lesson learned the hard way. It is a 1967...if that matters.

This one time its better not use the bigger hammer. My told me several years about the manual saying the same thing about damaging the steering motor. I think the steering motor should be the same for the G900, Vista, and G1000's if that helps any.

You need a different motor. These can be sourced from another G1000 or G900. Maybe M670 but not sure. I do know that the vista runs a ross unit which is totally different. Give the standard parts places a call for a replacement unit. After you get it, send it down to Welters for a total rebuild. You won't be disappointed.

It happens I have one on a 670 Super. What is it worth? What do you have to trade? (I need a rear end for an R) I also need a radiator for an M-5....

Thanks for the help everyone. I think I have a rebuilt unit coming. I don't have any of the parts you need, but I will keep you in mind if they are unable to come up with a good one.

I have two R rear ends take your pick. Don't know where you are at, but these are in northeren Illinois. If interested I can take pictures and give you serial nimbers.
