mm 670 loader

I just bought a mm670 for a second tractor on my farm. the tractor is in excellent shape but I would like to bring it back to top condition and I would like to put a loader on it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Who made the loaders that the factory supplied? I also plan on building a full cab so any loader would have to be frame mounted. any ideas?

A lot depends on what you plan to do with it. I bought a Westendorf WL-42 for mine. They are not cheap, but they dis-mount easily and you can get them with quick change buckets (to go from a bucket to a hay fork...for example). I know someone on here had a lighter duty loader for sale...if he still has it. I would be curious on your cab mount once you get it set up. I thought it might be fun to modify a cab from a White 2-105, or something like that.

The factory loaders were made by Schwartz. There were two different models of them. I have a Schwartz loader model 1400 on my M5. I dont have a picture on this computer but is posted on here a page or two down. The one I have is the lighter made one and is good for light duty work. I believe the other heavier one was made for the G900-G1000 but would work on an M670. Myself I wouldnt haul big round bales with it, but thats just me. I can post a picture from some literature when I get the other computer working. Any pictures of the tractor you can post?

Yes Schwartz built the OEM loaders for MM, also Oliver, White & some Allis-Chalmers there were half a dozen or so different models, non are quick-tach, until you get into the White Years. All Schwartz are full frame loaders, that mount below engine & to rear-axles. They are not compatible with most cabs on these tractors, with a few exceptions.

Do NOT use the Light Schwartz for Round Bales, too light of a loader, also unless you have the I-Beam front axle, use any other loader with caution for round bales, you will likely Break the spindles & or front axle, these are not made that heavy (smaller bales OK, the big ones are much heavier). My M670 was used for round bales & I need a new front axle, busted, welded, not straight, etc.

Depending on your location, I have a Koyker quick attaching K5 loader with grapple for sale, cheap, if does need some hyd. cylinder work, as seals are leaking on dump cylinders. It is currently on an M670 Super. Located in South-Central MN

Thanks guys! Maj-mm I would be interested in your loader, where are you located, I am up on the iron range, not exactly farm country, I have to go at least 70 miles to even visit a dealer in farm equipment. I don't have any pictures of the machine yet as it hasn't been delivered yet. will try and post some when it comes. I probably will use my jd for handling the big bales or use a three point spear on the 670. I bought the 670 because the jd was in the shop and it is really hard to move frozen large round bales by hand. Besides it is better looking than my JD.
