Thanks for helping out. I could not get pictures to post. Jim

From those links, I think you are pretty close, but
I always use photobucket instead of the tractor
forums to hold the pictures, so I'm not sure how
they present a posting link for you.

With photobucket, I just use the HTML address
version and it renders properly. Also, you can
always hit preview to check out if it works or not
before you actually hit submit...

Did you restore both of those??

Howard

Yes, we restored both. The u has been on the farm since new and is an auger tractor by longstanding tradition. The G was aquired a year ago from a neighbor lady after her husband's passing. Also handy on an auger.

Nice looking tractors. Spent a lot of time on a G
like that. Did someone switch the front axle?
Always thought G"s had a straight axle; GB"s had an
arched axle. Photo looks like that is the arched
version.

My dad had a 1949 or 50 GTB. I vaguely remember it. He always said Dont you wish I would have kept it? He bought it in the 1960s for $800, used it a few years then traded it off for I think a 730 Case and got $800 trade in on it. He always said you could pull the plow at idle or wide open...didnt matter.

It is a GB, I just refer to it as a G out of habit. Did some "fun plowing" of 18 acres last summer.

Nice job taking pictures good to see the farts out working they do get tired of just sitting in shed or going on rides, just go done grinding 2 batches of feed for my steers with my 560 IH.

Whats the serial # on that G1000? We have 4 diesel G1000's. I was wondering if any of the serial #'s might be close. Have fun with that tractor!!
