G705 Radiator leaking.

It is leaking at the bottom on the inside on the right hand side. Since these are so heavy are there any radiator shops that work on them all together? I am expecting twisted off bolts if I take it apart. Can the radiator by istelf be pressure checked and so forth if I do dismantle it?

If it was me, I would be calling the local shops describe what they have and see what they say. Some may, some may not.
And if they have to take it apart, you will probably be paying for the labor to repair any broken bolts.

I will take it to a shop in the morning and see if they can do anything with it. If it comes to dismantling it I would sure rather do as much myself as possible for sure.

I had to replace a core on my ZA. I figured I would have alot of them twist off but I only had two. I think they were in the bottom end, both in a spot that got warm and cooled different than the other bolts. I can't say for sure but you might be suprised, then again I didnt win the lottery so what do I know lol....

I sure am curious how easy these would come out. I really would like to get it all apart so I can get it painted up nice.

I've taken three of these same radiators apart in the last year, and didn't break a bolt. Just spray them with a little penetrating oil, and be careful. I was doing it to change tanks (from G705 to Gvi). Used a thin layer of RTV after a good cleaning, and no leaks.

I went ahead and took it to a shop that will fix it. I would have tore it down myself but I don"t have the know how to repair it so I just took it in. It needed a good cleaning anyhow I am sure.
