I have an RTI with no tags, the engine has the starter adapter cast as part of the bellhousing, what years were they like this? Thanks

1947 & earlier had louvers on the side panels, 48 & after had the straight leg side panels, that'll narrow it down some, they changed from 2 brake pedals to one or vice versa also at some point. Alittle more info might help narrow it down.

Post motor S/N if it has tag on right side of motor. That will at least date the motor if motor is original. Otherwise, as indicated the sheetmetal break point and the brake pedal setup are clues. I think there was also a change in front axle casting to beef up but that was pretty early.

No engine tag, straight leg hood(thought that was a given with the block cast that way) since it is RTI thought they only had one brake pedal. Would casting number of block help? I'm thinking of rebuilding engine and was wondering if there are any difference based on year.
