Are the tachometers the same for gas or diesel 602? Will a 670 hydraulic pump work on a 602 for added spool valves? I want to run two pumps! One on the back and one on the engine side. Thanks!ZACKK

Im not positive but I think the tachometers on the diesels were different. Not sure about putting a pump on a 602 as that but it would be interesting to find out. I'm curious, I'll have to take a look in the parts books. What are you planning to run with it?

The gear type pumps used on all but the very late M670 supers will fit on an M602 in the location where the tach drive is located on the diesels but you will lose your tach.

Hydraulic motors with hedgers to trim canes in vineyard. If I add another resivor tank it should work. The tractor is on L.P. Gas. The 670 pump should mount up under the distributor.

Yes, Alan you are correct the tachometers are different on the Gas/lp vs diesel tractors. I found that out on my M5 diesel and bought a gas one. Lucky I was able to swap it for the correct one NOS for NOS Because he other guy needed a gas one and bought a diesel one. Pretty odd how that works some times.

Yes it is odd how things work out sometimes that way. Dont the diesel tachs rotate the opposite direction or something?
