U302 anti sway for 3 point

As far as what Ive seen in the parts book. I dont believe there were, just limit chains like the M5s.

There were never any sway blocks used on a U-302. In addition to the limit chains, there were "sway bars" available. A bracket bolts to the plate above the drawbar where the sway chains attach to the tractor. The sway bars go from this bracket to the implement pins (inside of the 3-point arms). I used them to keep the rear rigs on a front mounted cultivator from swaying. Not very heavy duty but they worked fine for that application. They are the same idea as those used on early Ford tractors.

I use the "sway bars" on my M670 to keep the posthole digger in line when digging. They're heavy enough for that.

I have always used "sway bars" on my 445's, M-5,
jet stars, and U302's. Not all that heavy but work
great on planters, cultivators, and any rear 3pt equipment that I don't want to flop around. I'm looking at 4 sets for cat 1 and 6 sets for cat 2 hitches sitting in my shop right now. Any time I run into them at auctions I buy them. Sway "chains" are pretty much useless on the above mentioned tractors for my applications.

Someone welded steel U shaped pieces on both sides of the drawbar housing that act as sway blocks on my 302. They are vertical, and are tall enough that even when the arms are up completely still work. They worked great for mowing, but I just bought a plow and am not sure how they will work with it.

Now that I re-read your post, I'm not sure this is what you are looking for. I couldn't find the bars (been a long time since they were used) but they are pretty simple to fab.

I was missing the hinge. Made one out of two pipes and angle iron. Made the stabilizer bars out of flat stock.

tractor is a 1957 335.
