having trouble finding 2 springs for the mechanical spark advance in the distributer. mostly I hear
'obsolete' or 'good luck'..love to find somesprings.thanks ken

Is it a Delco distributor as most were? Should be easy to find as they were used on several makes and models.

Go to the auto parts and get a Mr. Gasket or Moroso distributor advance recurve kit for a GM delco distributor. It will have three sets of springs in it.

If my distributor shaft is ok then I just need the springs and that would bring the advance back to where it should be. On my 445 universal. Was thinking about sending this and my carb to Motec to rebulid and recurve. I think he does a good job from what people say.
