pto issues on a 602

Could be the yoke and/or the 3 points to the plate. You won't know until you take the cover off. Not too difficult to fix.

Do you feel a snap in and snap out with the handle? Just be a ware if you are not already, that PTOs on MM's do spin freely in the off position. That's a MM special characteristic. If your lever is "dead" it's likely a forks problem inside. Let us know.

well I got the tractor out today, backed up[ to the brush hog and I had to turn off the tractor to get the pto shaft on. It does seem to disengage like it should but it probly turns 50 to 60 rpm . doers that seem right? When I engage it you can see and clearly hear the rpm pick up like it should, but I do not feel it snap in. Any comments?

If you run the PTO very long without adequate pressure on the clutch plates you will fry them and then have a bigger job to replace them.
