This may sound a little off the wall to some but im a tight ars and here is my question. I get a little more involved with lp tractors all the time so I mounted a 100 gallon tank on a two wheel trailer to fill my forklift and tractor tanks. The problem is that its really slow. Ive been looking at hand pumps that look like a water pump off of the tender for a steam engine, the cost on them is in the six hundred dollar range. The electric pumps are near double that so Im looking for an alternative that wont break the bank. What about a holley blue 12v electric fuel pump for gasoline or alky? It is made to pump gas so I would think it should be somewhat explosion proof. Id rather not blow myself up if possible. Any Ideas?

Your tractor tank needs a vapor bleed valve if it does not have one. Then as you fill, exhaust vapor so the LP transfers. My tractors have a 3/4 inch vapor bleed. Can fill in minutes.

The reason LP pumps are so high is they have to be rated to stand up to 250 psi. All the plumbing on tank and tanks are rated for same pressure.

Don't know why it takes so long to fill a tank or why you would need a pump. Are you bleeding the tank you are filling ? I did fill the tank on my GB overnight without bleeding but that was all night of course.
