Old vintage Minneapolis Moline Tractor question

I have an old MM Tractor that was on my place when I bought the farm. Someone looked at it and told me he thought it is a 1946 year. I don't know anything about them but the engine is not frozen up. When I pull it in gear, the engine turns. It has had a can over the smoke stack when I first got it so it looks like someone was trying to protect the engine. Does any one have a clue as to what it might be worth? A couple different people have ask if I want to sell it but I don't want to give it away. If anything, it looks good sitting at my front gate.

I agree with G1355. It looks to me to be a 1950 or very early 1951 model ZAU. I have a 1952, and my dads 1950 that he bought new. Here is a picture of my 52 before I got the proper headlights and seat for it.

One other thing I noticed someone converted it to 12v, it has the alternator on the side so its no longer 6v

Thanks guys for the information. I have traded for two other tractors that is keeping me busy right now. When I finish playing with them I will probably get the old MM and see what I can do with it unless someone comes by and wants it more than I do.

It is a model ZA. They came out in 1949. Serial plate is located on the right hand side of the trans housing. If you want to know the exact year. However yours is an early one because it does not have a pressurized cooling system.
