lonewolf- as said by others, value is what someone will pay. The first pic is a tractor I just bought earlier this summer. 800 with some stuff done, lots of aluminum, external disk brakes, custom sheet metal, very detailed, weighs about 6000lbs. Paid $9500. I wanted to build one, but I knew I"d spend a lot more, and it wouldn"t be as nice when it was done, besides taking me a couple of years. I guess it also depends on what class you"re pulling in. This one pulls in open speed classes at around 16-17 mph, which yours would not work well for, but yours does work in heavy, slower classes. I"d guess yours would bring 7-9k to the right buyer.

To the guys worried about "ruining" tractors to pull with, the second pic is a tractor that was pretty much ready for the scrap yard when I bought it (still looks like it should be there). It was a "65 G706LP (20 built). I put a strong motor in it, with a Gvi nose, and have been tearing up the low speed pulls, with an investment of about 3k. I have the parts it came with, and I didn"t "ruin" anything. I may restore it someday, but until then, I"m having fun with it, and it"s not in a scrap yard. I don"t see a problem with that.

What's your serial number? I brought home # 198 today. It's odd you posted picture same time as I purchased mine. Wonder how many are left?

Realistically I would say that tractor is worth $5K-$7K, depending on what's been done to it, and if you can find someone willing to buy it. Most of the fun in tractor pulling is building the tractor itself, as you've shown yourself by wanting to sell this one and build another. If you can get 1/2 of your money back out of it, I would consider yourself lucky.

Any GVI with an HD800 will have twice the power. You can build one of them for half of what you got in your tractor. Good luck selling it.

Bull, I have beat many gvi's and gbd's with 800's, and I run a 55GB diesel, but they are more costly to build, pump work is high to do it rite.

Nice looking tractor! Here is a little note for the correct police. I have a low serial number gbd, It runs on starting fluid but has pump problems. Has the big fenders but they are poor, nice hood and grill ect. Tires are black and round. 100% complete. I bought it out of Canada and by the time I paid the shipping I have $2500 in it. If someone wants it for that ill let it go outherwise its going to get an HD800 this winter. I have a massey 95 can use just the same. Tractor is located in north central Iowa. Thanks.

From a puller's point of view, what's been done to the engine? What injector pump is on it? I can tell it's a Roosa-Master, but what head is on it? What's been done to the injectors? It's a beautiful tractor and it's great that you kept all the original parts, I did the same with my UB Diesels, but when you're selling a pulling tractor, original parts don't count LOL

It's worth what someone will pay for it. (I know smart %$##$ answer). As it is now built as a puller it will depend on your location and what classes / weights it was built to pull in. In other words - more info is needed.

6500,7500 AND 8500 LB CLASSES , TRANFER SLED OR STONEBOLT ( BLOCK ) PULLING, AND THEY MADE THIS TRACTOR FOR ONLY TWO YEARS AND I BELIEVE 853 OR 854 UNITS, EVERYTHING HAS BEEN REBUILT, PAINTED OR CHROMED, NOT ONE PIECE ON THIS TRACTOR HASN"T BEEN CHECKED OUT

If it has a 068 prefix in serial # it should be preserved as production numbers are very low. A very collectibile tractor if original condition could be reverted. Sorry not a fan of pullers elimatating history.

Nobody said anything about them collecting dust in a shed. There is also a big difference in be used for farming and what not vs pulling a sled down the track for 300 ft or so. I have never seen one of these hopped up pulling tractors in the field yet. Be it racking hay or pulling wagons or what ever Besides all that if your going to buy a pulling tractor that is all ready built and wins all the time in its classes why not just go pay for the trophy and be done with it. To me personally I could care less on pulling tractors. Once these tractors are built they can only go one way and that's down same with a fully restored one as well. Finding the few that are still in good shape and original is the real prize. I just hope none of mine end up being some kind of drag queen in the end because I took too much time to make thenm as close to original as possible. But as stated this is what makes the world go round and round and my email is always open to chats. Happy Tractoring!

correct, only two years they made this tractor, i believe 853 or 854 units, i have 95% of all the original parts to bring back to factory spec's - i wanted something different and this tractor gets alot of pictures taken of it, rare around the new england area

Mabie it would be better to see molines sold by the ton for scrap than a tractor puller saving them from the ax. If I woldent have out bid the scrappers my red face U puller would be a Toyota by now. I haven't herd a tractor puller down talk a collector yet, Why? Most of us are collectors also. Most of the tractors we start with are junk or were parts tractors left over from outher projects.

Maybe so, but the 10k-15k spent making one Moline into a puller could have saved and nicely restored 3 or 4 to original condition.
