MM emblem on 55 series grille

I'm wondering if anyone makes a reproduction or anyone has one laying around, I'm looking for the MM in the top piece of the grille like in the picture below

Do you have a sample or anything?? I have a machine shop and have a program to mill out the "MM" emblem for my M603 and older U302. I can post a picture of an original and the new one if there is any interest. I'm sure the "correct police" would not approve but with the aluminum raised letters matching very close it was easier than tying to find a good original for me.

No I have no sample, but I"ve seen them before its just thin, like tin, but aluminum would work, can you post a picture of the one you had made so I can see what it looks like. Thanks, and what was the cost

Alan do you have any idea how big they are on a g1355, or an estimate, I have one coming that I know needs it. Getting exited for it to come.

Im not sure, I can do some checking in the parts books to see if they are close to what they used on a 950 and I can measure mine.

From the info I found....the G955 and G1355 use the same Grille (cast iron housing), Screen, and the MM nameplate. With that being said knowing MM...Im guessing the grille would be the same that was used on the 950 1050 and 1350 flat grille models as I wouldnt think they would make a new casting, so I bet the MM would be the same on those as well. I can measure mine if you like. You will have to post pictures when you get it.

Yeah if you'd measure yours that'd be great, I will post pictures as soon as it comes.

I can post these pictures of the original U302 & M602 Emblem which looks like cast aluminum and mine is milled out out of 1/4" thick aluminum plate. These are 5" x 7" and it took while to do(3.75Hr) so if the ones in the picture are quite a little larger it would take more time. As far as cost it would be excessive and I'm not really trying to make money doing this stuff so maybe we could work something out that is reasonable.

We have a later U302 Super Tractor that had a thin tinny emblem on so I wonder when they went with the changes on that. These emblems are solid cast aluminum and like Alan said maybe a lot of trctors had the same one. That why I would like to see a sample and how big the letters are. I'm sure anything new would be better than having none or a broken beat up one but my opinion is anything that been in use almost 50 years is going to have some character from it's use and abuse.

I'll see what Alan comes up with for a measurement, then if you think you can make one like it, and have a price in mind we will talk if that works for you.

My G950 MM plate measures 10 1/4" left to right, and 4 1/2" top to bottom with approximately 1/8" in on each side and end is where the M starts. If you need more detailed measurements I can see what I can do.

What would you get to make a 10.5 by 4.75, so it's just a little bigger than Alan's measurements so it should be a little bigger than original, doesn't have to be anything to thick as long as it has a MM milled out. Or if you want my email I can give it to you. Thanks

As I e-mailed Allen at basic shop rate the one I did took 4 hours and that puts it in the $200.00 range. I'll need to get the dimensions of the corners of the "MM" itself to do a accurate job of centering it on the 10.5" x 4.5" aluminum plate. I can't tell from the picture if there is a space between the M's. If I get a chance to see one of them tractors around I'll make some notes about it. Someone mentioned there is a good muesuem over by Denison Iowa I would not mind seeing.cleddy

Hopefully I get the tractor by the end of the week, I'm gonna make sure there isn't one in the cab or anything as I only saw pictures. I will let you know.
