May be fixing my last MM. I can literally overhaul a diesel (anything but MM) for less than I'll have in this 670. Or maybe someone is willing to pay me a couple grand for my one good 10A4230 "super rare" head. Then it may make some sense. And it is not in machining costs...mostly parts. I buy these tractors to use them. I don't have the luxury of buying them to sit in the shed, so they have to be mechanically sound.

Well, that's my gripe session for the night. Just extremely aggravated to purchase a decent tractor only to spend a fortune to fix it right.
 
Sure if you'd like to sell her a lot of guys would like to buy it on here, and get rid of your headaches, I wouldn't mind having one, especially if the price was right lol, keep us updated when you get her tore apart. Good luck.

Yes, 10A4230 heads are HARD to find! I went thru that a year ago and found two good ones that were rebuilt and ready to bolt on for $1,500.

Yes 30's are hard to find. I have a pair coming in but it will be a couple weeks. Put a pair of 31's on it and be done. Which i have a stacks of. Or I have a have a nice complete 670 gas super with countless hours and dollars already spent on it for $4500. 308-940-0255 Jeff
 
I feel your pain.
Just think the MM line was phased out aboot 40 years ago.
Its a wonder that you can still find anything for them.
 
I think up until a few years ago most things were still available but I am finding too with my M5, everything has gone up and up, and not just MM parts. My cousins had to put a waterpump in their Ford-NH. I think the pump its self was over $400. They were expecting around $900-1000 repair bill on it with the labor. Alot of the parts you can still get for MMs, but places dont care what the cost is anymore....but I am glad I can still get what I can get.
