I have two gb diesels with 504 blocks in them and neither one runs decent. We had the american bosch pumps worked on but it hasnt helped...could be timing issues. Not sure. I was wondering if anyone has any input on this problem. Also, does any of you have a g 705-g1000 accessory drive and fuel pump for sale. Need

We trashed the American Bosch and went with the Roosa-Master and it is a whole different tractor. Really woke it up.

O. K. I used to be pretty good at trouble shooting PSB Bosch pumps. Can you describe your problem(s) in more detail.

I'll try...the pump was leaking fuel into the oil so we had a diesel tech rebuild it. In the meantime we put 504 jugs and new rings in. After buttoning her back up we were never able to get it to run right. The diesel tech said the proper timing mark on the pump should be one notch to the right. We did that first and it seemed out of time. We put all the timing lines together and it also seemed out of time. Im lost

American Bosch PSB pumps can be a challenge as they turn engine speed, not 1/2 like other pumps do. With the drive hub lined with pointer you will be on one or six. To find out which, if head gear mark is visible, it's on one. If not pump is on six. I like to watch cyl six valves, when rocking at TDC then you know for sure # 1 is on compression, ready to fire. The best IT book for PSB pumps is the Oliver 77,88,99 as it explains operation correctly. The head gear and hub drive mark should NEVER align together. The head is assembled with cam on base circle. Cam lift port closing is with tappet partway up camlobe, and head gear will have moved about one tooth.

Got a couple of those too and you're right! Our Hd-800s are for unlimited speed but the GBD was built for 4 and 6 mph classes.

It sounds as if you may have some pinteles sticking in your nozzles. This could be from over tightened nozzles. Take the nuts off if lock nuts throw them away and just use regular nuts without lock washers. Retighten evenly to 15 ftlbs. Let me know if this helps.
