I have a G vi with a 800 6A intended for tractor pulling and I'm having trouble getting the governor to behave.
I tried to connect the throttle a couple ways:
On the left side, below governor, pushing the spring towards the radiator but it takes to much force and the RPMs don"t seem to change as quick as it should. (tried pushing to increase RPMs)
Next I tried the right side, I connected a pull type spring to the throttle shaft that connects between carb and governor. Like a Oliver 77/88 gas set up. With the gov. spring connected on the left side I thought this would work but it eventually goes to full throttle and doesn"t respond to moving the throttle lever back to idle position.
Hopefully I can get some tips or see a picture of how the throttle should be connected.
