MM 445 clutch problems

Hello All,
I thought I would ask on this board, rather than assume I know what is wrong with my 445, deferring to the greater knowledge-base present.
Yesterday I was mowing with my 445, and put the tractor in reverse and left out the clutch. When I pressed the clutch in again to stop, the tractor kept going, but I was able to pop it out of gear to stop it.
Pressing on the clutch now has a vibration to it, and it does not seem to disengage (I have to start the tractor in gear if I want to move it).
I am assuming the clutch throwout bearing has failed, but wanted others to weigh in.

The throw out bearing was my first thought. I dont remember if they are like some of the other models like the M5 that have a plate under the clutch that is removeable (Im guessing they probably dont). If there is a plate, that might be a place to look and see if you can see anything.

I agree that your throwout bearing may have disintegrated. It could also be the pressure plate collapsed, or lost fingers.

Right now I have a 335 here that the pressure plate collapsed and soon I will be splitting the tractor. Normally I always install a rebuilt pressure plate, throwout bearing, and grease hose when I do a clutch job. Mower tractors normally eat the pressure plate due to the foot riding the clutch.

Hello all,
I have verified that the problem I am having is _not_ due to travel or clutch adjustment, so it looks like I'll be splitting the tractor.
This tractor doesn't see much use (less than 100 hours/year) The Ampli-Torc needs to be _completely_ warmed up so it does not slip in low-range.
Now comes a more philosophical question(s):
1) With the tractor split, should I go and re-build the Ampli-Torc? (This tractor has a loader mounted on it)
2) How much more effort (beyond what needs to be done to fix my clutch problem) is re-building the Ampli-Torc?
3) Are Ampli-Torc parts available? From where?

Appreciate your hard-fought wisdom on this matter.
