minneapolis moline dealer

Come to find out my family used to own and operate a Minneapolis dealer in the small town of Harris MN or near the town of Harris. Just curious if anyone out the had any pictures or recalection of this dealer. Any info is appreciated thanks, Joe

Joe, That was our local dealer. Which owners? the Anderson Brothers or the Wilcox Family, who bought out the Andersons, in the late 1940's?

The Dealer was tight in the small town of Harris, their last building is still there, but no longer a dealership, I think Antiques or something now. ~ Marty

Thanks for the reply it would be the Andersons which I'm in relation to. I live in pine city and just found out that our family used to own that dealership when my great aunt came to town recently and she is also trying to do more research.

I'm from Rush City, moved to Southern MN a few years ago.

The Anderson Bros. were also cattle buyers/sellers (some use the term jockies)"Pine City Livestock Sales".

They also sold MM for a short time thru their Pine City Location, as a satellite of Harris, which was the main location. I have seen MM advertising, listing only Harris, and also listing both Harris & P.C. I think they sold the MM dealer to Don Wilcox in 1948 or 49. in the later years it went by Wayside Implement, they also sold the New Holland line.

As I recall, there is a photo of the dealer in the 1940's in the Harris Centennial book that was published about 1984, it would be available thru the Library exchange, I think both Rush City & No. Branch have copies.

Thanks for the info sir always cool to find out some family history especially when it's tractor related. I will try to get to north branch or rush to check out a copy of the book and see what I can find, thanks again, joe
