I have a broken Pto shaft in the tractorso I started to rip the ol gal apart..lol

Not sure, the tractor was like that when I got it a couple of years ago, just getting around to fixing it now.
 
Had that happen to a G1355, running a insilage chopper did it. It
would run the pto be the tractor wouldn't always stop when you put
the clutch in. It was a A&I shaft that broke.

The shaft broke as soon as the driver let the
clutch out!. Looking at the shining splines in the plate tells the story...SHOCK LOADING!
If the shaft had a previous crack, some of the splines would be a darker color. I see you got the piece out with a little welding.. good job!

Thanks Guido, I drilled a hole in the small piece then tapped it out to thread a bolt in then used a slid hammer to jar it out. worked good! :D
