Is this a good deal?

Found a m670 super gas today, good trade on tires, but weather checked, guy didn't start it because of dead battery, been sitting since last fall, he's gonna put in a battery and I'm gonna go back tommorow. 2500 bucks, is there anything to watch for on these. Needs a new paint job, someone reprinted it the wrong yellow, it's a little rough but for the most part strait.

test the ta on the low side

What do you look for, if it shifts in smooth, slips out? Never had a mm with ampli torque, my dad used to have a g1000 but I was to you g to remember it.

If it slips in low range after the oil is warm the sprag clutch is worn out. Sometimes they will work part of the time. You can use the tractor without low range.
