Hey Tony, Your UTN looks great! This is my favorite stage of restoration. I love putting the finishing touches on a tractor and watching it come to life. Keep up the good work!

(quoted from post at 02:58:45 06/01/13) Where were you able to get the new front tire? Is it a 12 inch rim?

Nebr MM,
I purchased front tire from a firestone dealer.
Its a American Farmer 900x10.

Tony; In looking again at the before picture ---- The bracket under the belly is for a MM MP corn planter. Don't throw it away. Someone is going to want it someday. I have three MP planters (one is for sale) But I don't have a bracket for a U.

MMDEL,
Thanks for comment! Yes,He had used it to plant his cotton.
I plan to paint all the brackets cherrie red and put them back on. Want it to look like its ready for work. :D
Thanks,Tony

That is one terrific restoration job, I really enjoy seeing them done correctly. Too many people get hasty and thrifty when fixing up rare tractors, im glad your UTN got the treatment it deserved. Enjoy it!

Cheers, Art

Fantastic is the only way I can describe your restoration job.First class all the way. Thank you for the pictures as the job progressed. clint

She had to be pushed on trailer for HER FIRST FUEL FILL UP IN 30yrs.
Had to get her from shop to ranch yard equipment tank.
Tank was rebuilt with new valves etc and certified usable.

Little more progress. Got grille on and aligned.Tool box,Got hydraulics working great lever pops to nuteral at each extreme.
Decided to put bushings on seat bar pivot and throttle pivot .
Undecided whether to go with float ride seat or the high back M.M. seat .
What do you guys think . I am setting up for both. tractor came with float ride but all U's in my time had the high back with the big M.M. emblem on back.
Was lucky to find a l.p. breather hose that was adaptable at Napa. Got my serial tags on had to redrill holes old revits broke inside
