A 425 with a 605 crank will get you about 510". You will need custom pistons for the longer stroke. If all you want is about 510", it"s a lot easier to use 504 jugs and pistons on your stock bottom end to make it a 504. The easiest way to make a 605 is to use 605/403 jugs, pistons, and pushrods with the 605 crank, or just bolt in a 605.

504 jugs are the same bore as a 605, but are about 2" shorter. Using 504 jugs with the 605 crank will get you a 605, but you will still need custom pistons for the shorter 504 jugs.

425 pistons are a smaller bore. 504 pistons have the wrong compression height. If you use a 605 crank, you will need 605(403) jugs and 605(403) piston, unless you get custom pistons.

I always knew that "G" pistons had the same bore as a 336/504 piston, but I never thought about the compression height being different. I learned something today, but I will still stick my diesel MM toys.
