504 jugs are the same bore as a 605, but are about 2" shorter. Using 504 jugs with the 605 crank will get you a 605, but you will still need custom pistons for the shorter 504 jugs.

425 pistons are a smaller bore. 504 pistons have the wrong compression height. If you use a 605 crank, you will need 605(403) jugs and 605(403) piston, unless you get custom pistons.

I always knew that "G" pistons had the same bore as a 336/504 piston, but I never thought about the compression height being different. I learned something today, but I will still stick my diesel MM toys.

get you three 403 jugs, 6 403 pistons, and 12 403 push rods. if you find a 605 power unit it will be the same parts.
