Alright, doesn't sound as bad as I thought, tHanks for the help. just curous what model are you working on, is it a G1350 or 1355 or a4t or are you just putting that 585 in something.

G1355, you also need to keep in mind all of the "other" issues that may arise on one of these engines. My overhaul was similar to above, but the incedentals like the fan shaft ($250-300) and water pump rebuilds, misc other gaskets/seals, clutch/flywheel, and so on is what racked the cost up in mine. I figured by the time i was all said and done i was close to $6000-$7000 withOUT counting my labor.

Yeah I know, but I was just after what the parts I know I"ll need first will cost. That"s why I was wondering I"ve heard that 5-7000 range, and was wondering if that was just for the pistons,rings etc or if that was all said in done.
