LP Gauge Leaks

The LP Gauge on my 670 is leaking. It is held in with 4 screws. DO these come out easy or do they tend to twist off? Any tips? Thanks Marty

A couple things you may want to do first.
Talk with your lp man and go over it with him what you want to do and the problems of twisting the screws off and such. I am sure they have ran into that before.
The other is before you start to unscrew them you may want to get a brass hammer and tap the heads of the screws then try to unscrew them.

This is just a sample of one but they came out easy on my 4 Star and my local LP provider had the correct O-Ring in stock. Have not needed to take my M-670 apart yet. Did put it back together with never-seize.

A good soaking with penatrant on those screws a few days before you want to remove them helps. As Kevin mentioned, tapping on the heads does sometimes help. I stock that rubber seal that goes between the tank and the guage. My cell no. 815/499/8708 --Dean--
