I just got my UTS running, it runs ok. It is showing 25psi hot or cold on oil pressure, the gage is new. Is 25psi ok?

Thanks for the info. Would it be wise to use nondetergent oil or would regular oil be ok. I am worried about breaking up all the sludge and plugging the screen.

Doesn't answer your question, but I was just curious. It looks like you started restoring it, and was wondering If your making the rear wheel centers yellow or putting them back to the red. I think red looks better, but its not mine, if you like it yellow keep it, it looks okay. The rest looks good. Keep up the good work.

I agree with G1355. However the hub on the axel is Prairie Gold but the wheel center was Red.

I would use regular detergent oil. I would pull the oil pan and valve cover and clean whatever sludge you find then refill with deteregent oil and a quart of ATF run it 2-5 hrs and change it again and should be just fine. My Oliver 99 had 1/2 to 3/4 in. of sludge in the bottom of oil pan cause non-detergent just leaves everything sit in bottom of pan.

My plan was to go MMDEL's route and leave the hubs gold and paint the rest red but that will have to wait, I got in a hurry I am trying to finish this for a 25 mile tractor cruise in 2 weeks.

25 PSI is book spec. I run mine from 25/30 PSI, then they are adjustable to suit. Make sure the rocker arms are getting oil. Have fun with her.
