Don't know if this person still looks this forum but I would like to know how he raises and lowers this blade.
 
Here I made you the link for it, if I had to guess, there's a cylinder somewhere up front, probebly hid by the front tire, unless its cable lift, and there's a winch or something hid up front, I'd say one of the two.

Can't resist, throwing this in... Dad had a 49 U, with a front mount blade...he used two wooden levers, mounted near the back axles, they were connected via cables thru pulleys to lift his blade....crude but it worked.....Alex
 
I bought a narrow front u from an old timer 15 years ago. He thru in a v blade that he had mounted on it. There was a frame that mounted to the tractor and was raised with a cable. I never put it on. I still have it out back.
 
i have a gblp with a custom built blade on front very good looking set up angles left right and has down pressure also. 2200 can buy the set up or 500 for blade only tractor runs great can send pic by phone 618-363-8187
