What size should the rod journal be if your crank was turned to fit a case 1070 rod? What would be the Clevite part number for the bearings?

I think they are 2.75 if I remember right.

I used case 1030 rods which was a 451 diesel. They are 2.75" I believe the 1070 is the same thing.

What is the length center to center? On what stroke were you using these rods?

Trying to remember off the top of my head. I think 10.6" long, c to c. I have a 7" stroke, 800 jugs. The wrist pins start out the bottom of the sleeve and the piston was a little short in the hole about .100"/.125". I milled the top of the crank case and the top of the jugs to get the piston up in the cylinder better. The wrist pin does not come out the bottom now at all.I had to shorten the lifters some for clearance under the jugs. No gaskets under the jugs, only permatex.

rod journal 2.7490,Clevite # CB-686P standard,rod length c-c 10.5 inches.

Canted cap rod for 4cyl and 6cyl case engines, 2.750 crank pin, CB-686P bearing, 10.500 Center to Center, Dsl is a heavier rod with 1.500 pin and gas version is 1.250 pin. There are several versions of this rod some gun drilled and some not etc...
