Does anyone know how many jet star propanes were built. All my books show gasoline and lp versions used the same serial numbers.

Approximately 278 of the 2436 Jet Star gas/LP units were built as LP.

Where did you find those numbers? I wasn't able to find any in my MM books.

They are from an extensive research project I'm doing based on actual MM production records. MM lumped the gas and LP tractors together for most tractors. The only way to tell is to look at every unit produced in the production records and decipher whether it was gas or LP and tally them up.

Thanks! It's quite a task. Moline was smart enough to record the LP tank serial number for every unit before it shipped so I can use that to confirm the data from the dealer order guides.
