I recently bought a G705 LP, no serial plate so I don't know the year. Was working on it today and noticed it had 4206 heads. My other one is '65 and has 4210 heads. It was my understanding that the 4206 heads were not on tractors, just power units. Thay do offer a bit more compression, so it's OK with me. Are these replacements, or did tractors come with them?

Not sure about just he 705s but one of my M5s which originally was an LP that was coverted to gas allready when I got it was supposed to have two 4206 heads on it but the rear one had been replaced with a 4210.

You're probably right, Alan- I should have said not listed for a tractor with a 504. It appears that the 4206 was possibly used on the 403 and the 425 in tractors. It was listed on a HD504 in the info I have. Not a big deal either way, but this tractor has low hours and appears to be original, so I was curious.

I think if I remember right the 4210s were listed as a gasoline head for like the 5 Stars, the M5s were originally a 4209 for gasoline and a 4206 and 4207 for LP. When I checked compression on my M5 with the two different heads the 4210 had around 80 and the 4206 had about 125...which is the first head..so ..technically I have more power up front..:) but am in the process of fixing it up the way it is supposed to be.

My 53 UBU-LP has 4206s and my 55 UBU-LP has 4207s. 2 M5-LPs and 2 M602-LPs have 4210s. M670-LP has 4232s and G900-LP has 1 4232 and 2 4239s. The Vista is all 4232s. HTH

I bought the heads from a 705 lp for my G and all 3 were 10A4210 heads. Not sure what year the 705 was, but I did remove the heads myself. Today I wish I would have bought the whole tractor because it has been crushed.

In the repair parts catalog for a 705, it list the 4206's as a high altitude LP head for an elevation of 4000-8000 feet. Lots of LP G6's when repowered with 504 blocks used the origional G6's 4206 heads.

I just noticed bigIron dot com has a 425 power unit coming up for auction. In one of the pictures you can see that it has three 4206 heads on it. Thought you might like to see it. They also have a MM disk and rake in auctions but they are clear up in Neb.
