I want to put a G crank in a 5 Star. The G crank has 35 teeth and the G cam has 70 teeth. On the 5 star, the crank gear is 36 teeth and the cam gear is 72 teeth. The 5 star crank gear is loose on the G crank. I know there is a 36 tooth crank gear out there that will fit the G crank from some other MM engine because you sold one to a friend. What tractor or power unit am I looking for or do you or any one else have one for sale? Thank you! |

| There are a couple of solutions. The very early serial number 605's have that special highly desireable gear. I dont have any of them left. I dont think Ken does either but he will chime in. You can have a bushing made to use your 336 gear on the 403 shaft or my favorite route is to install the complete 403 style front cover and dist assembly. 308-940-0255 Later Jeff |
