Minneapolis moline m670 pto clutch repair

More than likely you will have to remove the Tel-O-Flo lift off of the rear end, and then the top cover underneath it. This will give you access to the pto clutch. Does your lever have decent snap to it? I believe some have stated on here that sometimes the tabs on the pto plates break off / wear out on them.
 
I will have to take a look in my book. It almost sounds like something snapped if you can turn it by hand and both ways. Im guessing someone on here will know more.
 
You're just going to have to pull the lift off and look to know for sure. The tabs can shear off the clutch plates or the splines on the shaft and drive hub in the flywheel could wear out. Had that happen before. The pto clutch hub is keyed to the shaft so that key could have sheared. I had a G1355 twist he pto shaft in two, but I don't think a M670 would do that. The shaft comes out the back so you don't need to split the tractor to get it out.
 
It may have snapped input shaft or peeled splines. It will still have to come apart. I sent picures a while ago.
