Stuttgart diesel

Ive read about the three Stuttgart tractors with Cummings diesel engines but what about Stuttgart tractors with moline diesels as original engines. Could someone give some information on this? Thanks

The only ones I've seen here in Arkansas have been lp powered. The 605 engines were all lp with the exception of 5 experimental units sent to the gulf for fishing boats.

I've seen several of them and they all had LP engines. One of the last ones they built had a small bell 605 LP in it which may have been a 425 or 504 with the 605 innards but said 605 on the tag. That one also used a gear drive drop box instead of a gear belt like many of the earlier ones used and a transmission like from an M5 or M602 if I remember correctly. It was at that time still owned by the family of the folks who owned the dealership where they were built.

I have looked at 8 different Stuttgart tractors in yrs. past plus owning one . They all have had M-M L P gas engines . All were 6 cyl. except possibly one. IIRC, one MITE of had a 403 eng. in it. First one that I saw was about 1976 at Sikeston,Mo. clint

3 of them had Cummins in them as per a special order. Randalls in OH had or has one for sale.

Here is a MM powered one at Welters.
