Its always interesting to see tractors sell on ebay. I have bought a few there (UB, G707, and a M602). I would be intersted in the G704 if it were close to Texas.

They are only original once. There are plenty of tractors that are too far gone from original that need paint to be restored. I would leave this one alone. What is the serial number? Jeff

Never paint a nice original. The originals become more desireable every day. I collect ony originals. I have had nice paint and couldn"t use them but an original you can enjoy. You can paint any piece of junk if you want new paint.

Here is the picture. I bought it on an online auction. I never looked at it. It had a very ugly cab. A small farmer had it from new and took excellent care of it.

You have a nice looking one there. That one looks quite good just the way it is. In my opinion, for now I think I would keep it that way. I have an M602 that I have that needs engine work but the rest of the tractor is good shape. Im thinking I might just buff out the paint when I get it fixed and use it that way. You can always paint / restore later but you cant undo them back to original condition as they are now.
