Bore Sleeve?

Has anyone ever bored a G jug into the water jackets and then resleeve? If so, how far did you take it. How did it work? Thanks, Dan

I have some UB diesel jugs bored to 5.125" I never used them, because I could not find flat top diesel pistons.

Yes I had a set of 403 g jugs bored to 5.5 sleeved and hard blocked at cornets machine shop turned out nice never been installed. Wanted to stay away from 800 jugs some rules wont let u run 800 stuff so went a different way they are 4 sale

Yes went into water jackets resleeved filled with hardblock. Run water in the heads not the blocks. Its a little more expensive to do this way but but like I mention was staying away from 800 jugs weight of jugs. Keep it a short jug motor. Just my two cents

I paid about $1000 for the jugs. I might use them sometime. I have lots of "projects" to build. It looked like I would need to grind the crankcase to make the jugs fit. Does that sound right?

hardblock is a substance somewhat similar to cement but NOT the same. You pour it in the water jackets and it solidifies to strengthen the block. its a good idea because blocks can be weakened by large bores.
