Has anyone ever bored a G jug into the water jackets and then resleeve? If so, how far did you take it. How did it work? Thanks, Dan |

hardblock is a substance somewhat similar to cement but NOT the same. You pour it in the water jackets and it solidifies to strengthen the block. its a good idea because blocks can be weakened by large bores.

I have some UB diesel jugs bored to 5.125" I never used them, because I could not find flat top diesel pistons.

I paid about $1000 for the jugs. I might use them sometime. I have lots of "projects" to build. It looked like I would need to grind the crankcase to make the jugs fit. Does that sound right?

Yes went into water jackets resleeved filled with hardblock. Run water in the heads not the blocks. Its a little more expensive to do this way but but like I mention was staying away from 800 jugs weight of jugs. Keep it a short jug motor. Just my two cents
