Have 8 tractors--pull lever DOWN for increase in speed--UP to slow speed.

This ZBU is backwards for me--up is fast down is slow.

Anyway to change this so it works like my other tractors????????????

At 68 I am tooooooooooooo much a Geeezzzzzzer to change.

I have UB that was originally same way. On right side above belt pulley the throttle lever operates a rocker arm that in turn operates the governor.

On my UB the rocker arm was removed and it has straight rod from bottom throttle lever to the governor and it now increases speed by pulling down on lever.

Remove your rocker arm and install a straight rod from bottom of throttle lever to governor. You may have to experiment with proper lenght.

I made a new arm for my UB that has two holes in line and on the same side of the pivot. The rod from the throttle goes in a hole closer to the pivot than the rod to the governor so it moves the governor arm far enough.

What other tractors do you have? My R, Z, U all push throttle forward/up to go fast, pull back/down to slow down. BG is up/fast down/slow too.

Thanks fellas for the great info. I want to be able to pull the lever DOWN for RPM and speed increase.

He he...the only other option would be to sit backwards on the gas tank.... I know when my dad and I got my ZB home and got it running he said the throttles backwards....took some getting used to.

I have two UB's, and one goes each way. The one my Dad had (which I grew up on and now own) has the two short rods with the arm in the middle, and up is fast and down is slow.
On the one I bought for a loader tractor when I moved to the country, the two short rods were replaced by one long one, and down is fast, up is slow.

I've gotten used to each one, and don't usually get confused by it. I have 15 other tractors of various makes, and there are different throttle set ups on many of them. It seems that whichever one I happen to be on, I just seem to automatically know what to do.
