Going to put new lip seals on the shaft that goes to the brakes. Called Agco with the part number for the paper gasket. They said it is not available anymore. What to do make my own, use liquid gasket maker, or nothing at all? Does anyone sell these paper gaskets? Same problem when I do the axle seal. Thank you for any help.

I just replaced the seals in my 445 last night and going to do the brakes this weekend. I made two paper gaskets out of thin gasket material but by the time I added shims and the paper gaskets had to much end play. Ended up with just the steel shims and some liquid gasket sealer on both sides.

Will restate that a little better. Made two gaskets for each side of the axle housing caps out of real thin gasket material. Used the steel shims and both paper gaskets. To much end play. Took out one paper gasket and still slight end play so used steel shims and permatex Indian Head gasket sealer (might not need to ) and seemed to have proper gear lash and no end play on axle. Good luck.

If they are riveted on, you can cook the oil out of them one at a time by laying them on a hot plate covered by a piece of sheet metal and cooking until about an hour after they stop smoking. The turn over and repeat. There will be an ashy residue that will have to be brushed off.

If you cook bonded lininigs I think the adhesive would release and you would have a real mess.

Linings used to be available new from Welters, Wendell Everett and some of the other MM parts suppliers.
