Thanks Guys it seems as tho the seal is the issue....never would have thought eng oil could do that but it appears the seal is on the suction side of the pump

You don't say if the G1000 is gas, lp or diesel.

With a diesel its possible for the oil to be burning and 'going away' and not be noticed in the exhaust.

Usually the hydraulics leak into the engine because of the pressure differential between the hydraulic pump and the crankcase. That's not good either, hydraulic fluid does not work well as an engine lubricant. That happened on Dad's Farmall Cub and wiped out the rings.

That would be an odd one....Only place I can think of would be where the pump bolts to the engine but would think the hydraulic oil would be going into the engine not the other way around.

You"ve got a seal out in the hydraulic pump. Had that happen on a G706.

Right on the money, have had it happen to a few g1000s over the years. Both times we just replaced the seal in the hydraulic pump, also make sure hydraulic filters arent plugged.

Im wondering if the rear main seal on the engine let loose and leaks?....I have that on my G950.
