I would never run oil through that filter. Its too pretty. back about 10 years ago, i went to an Agco dealer to get a hydraulic filter for my M5. They came out with a pretty little filter, so I went with the parts guy to see if we could find more like it. I think that little filter is about the same vintage as your tractor (late 50's) [Reply]  [No Email]

The part # on the filter stayed the same just different printing. I too would clean up the filter and keep it. [Reply]  [No Email]

I can't guess how long it took for the old oil filters to be used up. I do remember Daddy ordering a filter for his ZB back in the 70s and it was just a silver canister, not MM colors.
