My Gvi on this plow is impressive. The M5 kept up with most of the tractors that day. The ground was disced deep and went 30 days with no rain. I was short on traction as where many.

How good is a M5? When I was 15 or so a good friend of Dads had a M5. Couldn't keep the engine together. Think he bought it used, may not have been his fault.

Our M5 Diesel was a good tractor. The black muck we had to plow in fall was the only abuse it had to endure.Dad believed in pristene maitance, waxing, and wiping off the hood and fenders before fueling. We added M&W pistons and advanced the timing on the pump which took it from 65 to 82 HP to pull our 4-14 plow.Dad added a 14.9 -38 plowing dual on a 12 in. rim plus made the drawbar 20 in tall. This increased our ground speed 20%.It was equiped with 15.5-38's.
