Value of G-900 diesel?

I went and looked at a 1969 G-900 diesel this morning. Very straight and original tractor, ran good. Brakes were weak and alternator was not charging, otherwise good mechanics. Hour meter showed 4,100 hours, very well could be right. Tires were fair. Owner was asking 7,500! I would have paid 5,500 pn the spot. What is the going rate?

With fair tires it would do good to be a $3500-4000 tractor in my area..Two years ago I watched one sell for $2600 and it was cheap..I"ve owned two G-900"s and they are good old tractors..

About 8 years ago, at a sale here in NW ND, 2 G-1000s(non-running) went for over $10,000 apiece. But, for some reason, a good running 900 won"t bring half that.

Well I assume the G-1000s were 4 wd because I have yet to see a G-1000 bring that kinda $ unless it was a a vista or a 4 wd one so I think you may be comparing apples to oranges. But a nice 900 with good rubber could bring 5000- 5500 in my opinion.

If it is the one on Denver craigslist I"m convinced that he bought it from the agco dealer in fort Collins and is trying to double his money
