Where was the Minneapolis Moline Dealer in Dayton Ohio?

I am looking to find the minneapolis moline u that was my grandmothers. I have the R that was hers. She and my grandfather had two or three Molines and I would love to reunite them. They came new from a dealer west of Dayton Ohio. Does anyone know of a dealership that sold Minneapolis Molines in Dayton Ohio?

"Ware Equipment" was in operation up to around the year of 2003 or so. Ware was an Oliver, Moline and lastly White dealership ever since I can remember (I am 44). I have no idea if this is the particular dealership that you are searching for but they would have been located roughly 15 miles West of Dayton, OH on State Route 35 just west of the small village of West Alexandria, OH. State Route 35 is also known as Eaton Pike around that area. The location was literally at the NW corner of Eaton Pike (or St Rt 35) and Ware Road if you map it.

Although John Ware is long gone some records may still exist????. Today the former Ware farm and dealer building does house a tractor dealership sorta. Today it is known as "Planet OffRoad" and they sell Montana tractors (since phased out), McCormick tractors, and some Mahindra tractors along with import motorcycles, import ATV's, import go-carts, some power equipment like chainsaws, weedeaters, generators, etc.

Behind the old Ware dealer building is also a huge youth Christian ministry focusing on youth and horses. The horse barns and arena are all new and huge. I believe current ownership is affiliated with that although incorporated names are different.

Here is a link to website of current business (note: make sure to read the about us tab at the web site toolbar as it provides some background history regarding the business)

There was Blessing's Garage and Implements that was located on Union Road,Trotwood, Ohio was a dealer for Minneapolis Moline and Case back in the 40"s thru 60's. They sold R's Z's and U's that is where I believe my dad got his first tractor from a Z back in the late 50's. I can remember going there in the early 70's looking for parts for the Z and inquirying about the G model that dad was looking for. At that time the dealership was just a shop . There is a few old receipts from this dealership on Ebay, if you would like to see what their log;'s looked like. The owner name was Glenn Blessing . Its been several years since I have been int he area and dont know if the old garage is still there. The old shop was the second place on the Westside of Union Road after you crossed Shiloh Springs Road heading into Trotwood.

Ah - I was in Blessings many times as kid with my dad in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Of course by that time they only specialized in Snapper lawnmowers and other misc small lawnmower type engine parts. Dumpy little place from what I remember. I would not have guessed that they were ever more than lawnmower shop based on the tiny building size. Service facilities would have been minimal for larger tractors.

Very Cool that I learned something new though. Building was still there last time I was over that way. Of course that whole area has went nowhere but downhill.

Blessings Garage was at Stringtown,Ohio,1.5 miles North of Trotwood on Union Rd. at Shiloh Springs Rd. Glenn Blessing started the business in the late 1920's or early 1930's. In 1937[my birth year] my father Henry Croy was selling MM tractors part time for Glenn receiving $50 for each unit sold. In 1944 we moved to a farm on Shiloh Springs 2 miles West of Blessings. Currently I am restoring a 1937 Z and a 1939 R, both were sold by Blessing and were the tractors of my childhood. Roland Blessing now 90 years young closed the mower business in 2002.

I recall going to Blessings when I was a very young kid. My Dad, grandparents, and great grandparents all grew up in or near that area. My grand parents lived maybe a mile or less away down Shiloh Springs Rd. I remember when Grill's Tavern burned down next to Blessings. I bet you would know my relatives. You should send me a private message here.
