Having troubles getting the MM 602 to fire

Having some issues with my 602, the engine will turn over but cannot get it to fire, every once in a while itll fire for a second then go back to turning over. I have replaced everything in the distributor cap, the spark plug wires and sparkplugs. I had it running for a second after replacing these parts and then it died and went back to not firing. What should i look to check next?

Firing order? BTDT on mine. Even had it running on just two cylinders. Was running but weak! I had put wires on in clockwise order, not CCW or was it other way around? Whatever. Fella came over and changed the center two I think and it ran great! Felt real dumb!

i have the firing order in counterclockwise at 1-3-4-2 from the radiatior on back so someone feel free to correct me if im wrong on that

1. Check voltage to input of coil with switch on. Should be near battery voltage. If not there trace back to battery, if ok go to 2

2. Check voltage at output of coil to distributor. Should be battery voltage with points open, zero voltage with points closed. If constant battery voltage look for bad connection in distributor/points circuit. If constant zero voltage look for short in points, condenser, or distributor side feed through or an open between + and - posts of the coil.

this assumes you have a 12 volt - no resistor required coil. If it has coil with ballast resistor check the resistor.

ok thanks, i have replaced the condenser and points as well but i will check the voltage in both of those areas. thanks!

Fuel? Fill tank with non-ethanol fuel and add some Heat or other fuel treatment. Especially if things have been sitting for a while. Just a thought.
